Can you sing, dance or have a unique talent up your sleeve?
If so, you could be on your way to winning a cash prize in this year's Search for a Star competition.
Once again the Citizen is throwing its weight behind the contest to find the cream of local talent.
Auditions are scheduled for Monday February 18 and only ten acts can go through to the final on April 4.
The contest, which has been running for several years, is organised by this year's mayor of South Ribble, Councillor Kath Beattie, to raise funds for the mayoral pot which helps a number of local good causes.
At the final a panel of judges will decide who wins the Search for a Star crown and the £200 cash prize donated by bosses from Westinghouse BNFL, Springfields, near Preston.
Auditions for Search for a Star will place at the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, between 6pm and 8pm, and people of all ages are welcome to take part. Previous winners and/or professional acts are excluded.
If you fancy you chances and would like to audition call Lynda Mears, mayor and leader's secretary, on 01772 625542 or email lmears@southribble.gov.uk to book your place.
