Games review: Darksiders, PS3, £49.99

ANY game that dares cast you as one of the four men of the apocalypse is likely to have an amazing fantasy storyline.

In the case of Darksiders, this epic battle between good, evil and those in between turns out to be every bit as monumental as the script it must follow.

Supreme action from every angle, Darksiders takes all the elements of the genre that work so well and polishes them to perfection.

Jaw-dropping graphics, huge battles and even bigger environments set the epic parameters.

Couple that with a carefully-refined combat system that will do as much for button mashers as it will for those prepared to hone their skills with weapon upgrades and considered battle tactics, and you have your first bona-fide gold PS3 title of 2010.
