When the summer Olympics come to London in two years’ time, we’d better hope that there’s a fine video game where you can represent your nation in every event, and instil a sense of virtual national pride even if the real life medal table doesn’t tell the same story.
Vancouver 2010, however, is a remarkably basic game with 14 events for you to master through a range of different control techniques, bereft of any kind of tournament or career mode to make you want to stick at it.
Graphically sound, with enough variety to keep you entertained for a while, it soon loses its lustre when you realise that the online challenges are all that’s left to keep you climbing to the top of the slopes again.
