ACTORS Chris and Gayle Knight will be hoping 13 isn’t unlucky for them as they take part in Oswaldtwistle Players’ latest production.

The married couple, who recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary have reverted to acting like newly-weds as they play the lead roles of Jeremy and Celia Winthrop in farce Will You Still Love Me In The Morning, at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.

The couple, who have two children, met through Oswaldtwistle Players and are well accustomed to performing together having played opposite each other on several occasions.

Gayle said: “The one good thing is that it makes the on-stage kissing a lot easier when it’s your husband.

“We actually had a brilliant honeymoon, nothing like the Winthrop’s where everything goes wrong, causing then to come home early, only to find that things can get even worse.”

Last year, Chris was named best supporting actor at the NODA District Three awards for his part in Neville’s Island, and he returned to the players in the spring to direct The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, by Bertolt Brecht.

Gayle is the creative director of the Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle and also has experience as a writer and director.
