SINGER songwriter Miranda Myles has been given her biggest gig to date to showcase her original material at Preston's new live 400 capacity venue Blitz.

Blitz opened its doors for the first time this week with Leeds rockers The Sunshine Underground headlining the first live night.

The venue's live promoter was so impressed with a recent gig Miranda performed in Blackburn she was asked to support Sheffield band The Crookes on Thursday.

Miranda who is opening the night said: “I am really excited at the chance of performing my own songs to people from the music industry at a brand new venue.”

Miranda is set to go into the studio in a couple of months to record songs for her debut album, due for release next year.The night starts at 8pm, admission is £3 on the door.
