Ashley Banjo has revealed that dishing out rejection is the most challenging part of being a TV judge.

The Diversity choreographer is a judge on Sky1's Got To Dance alongside JLS singer Aston Merrygold and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, and admitted that saying no to good performers is "tough".

"Saying no is tough. There's so much talent and I would love 200 people to make the final, but then it wouldn't be right," he said.

"So turning people away that really do deserve to be there, but they just got pipped to the post is the toughest thing."

Ashley has been even more impressed with the talent in the new season.

"I may get tougher to please every year, but each year the talent gets better. It is definitely tough this year because it's so varied and diverse. This year, we have seen like the top level in every style so it would seem really tough from the get go," he said.

"It feels like we've got the best already. Everyone is brilliant. The standards are so high so far. The people we've got to make up the finalists this year are unbelievable."

He added: "I've been most impressed with the contemporary dancers this year. There has been some brilliant street dance acts but there are some contemporary acts this year that has made me feel like contemporary never has before."

:: Got To Dance is on Sky1 HD on Sunday nights at 6pm. Got To Dance: Auditions Uncut, with extra footage from the show, airs throughout the week.
