Lulu has revealed she had professional coaching before The Great Comic Relief Bake Off – but still didn’t manage to win.
The Shout singer took part in the BBC baking challenge which sees celebrities compete to create the best cakes for charity.
Lulu told Event magazine she had some sneaky lessons beforehand: “I suppose I cheated on Bake Off. I practised with a pro as baking isn’t my thing.”
Despite her swotting up, Lulu was still knocked out of her round, which included Joanna Lumley, Barry Humphries as Dame Edna Everage and heat winner Jennifer Saunders.
Lulu said of her co-stars: “It was a riot. We are all old friends. Jennifer and Joanna are like sisters and Barry Humphries was great.”
The Great Comic Relief Bake Off continues on BBC One on Wednesday at 8pm.
