Jeremy Kyle has reportedly been pepper sprayed by an irked bouncer while he was trying to film a documentary about the antics of British holidaymakers in Magaluf.

The talk show host was seen shooting the programme late at night in the resort and apparently incurred the wrath of a Romanian bouncer called Leon.

According to student newspaper The Tab, he said: "He was walking down the strip with camera making it look s***. He wasn't showing the good side of Magaluf.

"I don't like that sort of publicity - it's not good. It's been happening for a while now and it's definitely not the way to promote a place. He ran away behind the corner.

"I don't like the way he portrays the place. We're like family here - we clean everything and keep it that way. It's actually a nice place to live which is why you find lots of families here with their kids being raised here."

Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffatt told the Daily Star: "While he may've thought clubbers were too wasted to recognise how out of place he looked, he didn't account for the workers unprepared for their beloved party island to face another slagging.

"And one bouncer from one of the busiest bars warned Jezza that he couldn't come into the club.

"At the end of the day, people go to Magaluf to have a good time and Jez-head mooching around isn't exactly good for business... He may be the king of chat, but he ain't the king of Maga."

But Jeremy's spokesman told a different story to Mail Online: "Jeremy was walking around the strip with his film crew on Friday night when someone in the busy crowd sprayed the spray above their heads.

"They decided to vacate the area to be on the safe side, as the spray was starting to have an affect on the eyes. Jeremy wasn't trying to get into the nightclub and wasn't refused entry by a bouncer.

"He is filming in Magaluf for an upcoming series which is expected to run next year and one episode will focus on the youth culture in the area."
