David Beckham is celebrating turning the big 4-0.
Apart from his snappy dress sense and many iconic hairstyles, another defining feature of his just happens to be the many tattoos he’s always proudly showing off.
Join us as we take a closer look at his many inkings…
Becks reportedly has 32 tats in total.
In an interview with CNN, he said: “I have 32 (tattoos) and I don’t regret any of them. They all have a meaning. I think that’s what’s important about tattoos, if they have a meaning you’ll never regret them.”
He has various tattoos all over his body that are dedicated to his children – his sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and his daughter Harper. If you look at his back you’ll see a guardian angel that has all the names of his sons inked above and below it.
Don’t worry, he hasn’t forgotten his daughter, Harper. If you look on his neck, you’ll see her name firmly planted lower on his front side. But probably the most noticeable neck tattoo is the winged cross on the back of his neck, which he had done in 2004.
On his left arm he has a tattoo of his wife, Victoria, with roses above it.
The number seven on his right arm of course refers to his jersey number when he was playing for Manchester United and England.
He has the word Love on his left hand, which also has a swallow inked next to it.
Among the tats on his right hand, is the word “Victoria”. Last year he added to his right hand inkings and added the lyrics from a Jay Z song, which read: “Dream Big Be Unrealistic.”
Now all we’re waiting to see is what tattoo he gets in honour of his fortieth! Happy Birthday, Becks!
