It was the final semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent tonight, and people made sure to get their jibes about Amanda Holden’s attire in early.

After that, it was straight into the action.

It was the tap dancing friends that kicked the show off, and people took that as a sign for what was about to come.

The overall consensus seemed to be that tap dancing is cool!!

And also other positive adjectives.

But people were a little concerned that they couldn’t actually hear the tapping.

There was also this burn.

After their performance the boys had a little chat with Ant and Dec, and what got a mention? Only a “cheeky nando’s”.

It turns out that may have worked against them.

Both Amanda and Alesha were expecting more from the magician, but got more than a few boos when they said so.

To be fair, most the boos were from Simon Cowell.

A lot of other people seemed to agree though.

There were a few tricks people thought of which may have been a little more impressive.

And one in particular we were quite curious about.

Peter Lambert

Peter, the entertainer who still lives at home, left the judges a little confused by his act. It was essentially him wiggling on the top of a ladder for a few minutes, with some fire on the stage in front of him. Amanda even had to ask him what he was doing on the ladder.

His energy was certainly infectious though.

As were his ad-libs.

Although not everyone was convinced.

Still, however little people were entertained, everyone can agree that Peter seems like a lovely man.

And Katie Hopkins liked his ladder act… that’s something?

Misstasia

These four girls’ belief that they are actual princesses made Simon happy, shocking everybody. Or perhaps he just really likes Frozen’s Let It Go.

Amanda loved it, as did David, but it definitely seemed like the judges and audience were stuck in some strange vortex.

Almost everybody else hated their rendition of the Disney song.

But, we did manage to find one person who can relate.

And they did get a standing ovation, so…

Everybody seemed to love this dancer, saying how well he expresses himself through dance. Most felt he had been the best act of the night. Simon said he’d give him a 10.

In what must be a first, there was seemingly nobody being negative about him. Well, except for the fact that he’s from Gibraltar.

And while he had made some people cry with his dancing, he was making others laugh with the picture of him posted on the BGT app.

We’re so childish, aren’t we?

Emma Jones

The opera singer blew everyone away, not just with her voice but by how much less nervous she seemed than on her first audition.

Her interview before the performance melted hearts, as she described the moment when she received a standing ovation as when she first felt “accepted” by the world.

Her singing weren’t bad either.

Although not everyone’s an opera fan.

Perhaps she could try something different for the final, assuming she makes it?

Danny Posthill

This guy impersonates comedians, if you don’t remember, and did good impressions of Alan Carr, Sarah Millican, Jimmy Carr, and Ant and Dec. But, according to other people, he did bad impressions of Alan Carr, Sarah Millican, Jimmy Carr, and Ant and Dec.

He definitely won the award for the most Marmite performance of the evening.

Jesse-Jane McParland

Everyone should vote for this little karate-chopping girl if only for the reason that she terrifies Simon. Her act comprised lots of karate, screaming, sword fighting and flying ninjas. In other words, it was a winner.

People didn’t appreciate the repeated warnings by Ant and Dec telling people what they should and shouldn’t do at home.

But despite how fun Jesse-Jane was to watch, it also at the same time wasn’t that entertaining.

Yeah, we don’t know either.

Calum Scott

Simon obviously loved Calum. After all, he was his golden buzzer. He chose to sing Clothes Off by Gym Class Heroes, but all slow.

He was undoubtedly everyone’s favourite though.

Although some people felt they’d seen his like before.

And others thought he was a bit selfish.

But given that he was trending on Twitter and BGT wasn’t, it’s not difficult to tell who people are backing.
