Bristol City 3 Preston North End 0

Preston suffered a disappointing end to their Championship campaign as they suffered a comprehensive defeat at Bristol City.

First half goals from Lee Trundle and Michael McIndoe were added to by a David Noble free-kick after the break.

Neil Mellor and Paul McKenna both had good opportunities for North End but were denied by saves from Basso in the Bristol City goal.

Player of the season Sean St Ledger returned from injury to partner Neal Trotman in defence while Matthew Hill came in for Callum Davisdon at left back.

A truely compelling season interspersed with dynamic scenes of adulation, trepidation and least not indignation (logistics behind the economics of certain segments of ground control ). Thank you.
