Preston police are making an urgent appeal to university students in the city for information about missing German student.

German student, Kai Thieroff, went missing from his home on Lower Bank Road, Fulwood, in the middle of last week.

The 21-year-old was a student at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston.

Inspector Andrew Hobson said: "We are very concerned as Kai's disappearance is completely out of character and his family back home in Germany are extremely worried about their son.

"We are making this appeal to anyone who is friends with Kai and can offer us any assistance in tracing Kai to contact us.

"I would also appeal to anyone knows anything of his movements or plans over the past week to contact a member of our investigation team."

Anyone with information should call Preston police on 01772 203203.
