Police will warn people about a phone scam targeting the elderly as a meeting.
Redbridge Police will be offering advice and answering questions after a number reports of people attempting to steal cash by posing as a bank worker or police officer.
The fraudsters, who operate across London and Essex, acquire account details on the pretence that there has been a security breach and empty accounts.
Three people were duped in Redbridge last month alone.
The meeting takes place at Corner House, in High Street, Wanstead, at 11am on April 22.
