FORMER Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn could make his first start for Oldham Athletic in their Capital One Cup first-round tie at home to Championship side Middlesbrough tonight.
Dunn, who left Ewood Park for Oldham earlier this summer, came on for Darren Kelly’s team on the opening day of the League One season and helped his new club rescue a point against Walsall.

And Kelly has hinted at making changes for the cup clash with Aitor Karanka’s side, meaning Dunn could be handed a starting role in midfield as the Latics seek to reach round two for the first time in seven years.
The Oldham boss said: “There will be a couple of changes.
“We have a strong, fully fit squad so we can make a few changes.
“We want to go out and win the game, there is no doubt about that.
“Seven years is a long time since the club has progressed into the next round of the competition and I want to change that.
“The pleasurable thing is we have a fully fit squad to pick from.”
