A woman escaped with minor injuries after her car overturned at speed this morning.
Traffic police said Jenna Bird, of Rochdale, had clipped the side of the road as the headed towards Blackburn on the Edenfield bypass just before 7.30am, and lost control of her Renault Clio.
Her car overturned and slid down the banking, coming to rest against a tree.
Sgt Martin Bishop, of the road policing unit, said the car had been badly damaged, but the driver had only minor cuts and bruises.
