WOULD-BE Apprentice Adam Hosker was finally fired by Sir Alan Sugar last night - but issued a verbal swipe at the rival he felt got him the boot.

The car salesman from Blackburn ran out of luck on his fourth appearance in the boardroom - eight weeks into the BBC 1 show.

But he blamed posh arch-rival Katie Hopkins for his demise and said she resented his northern upbringing.

Adam, 28, was ousted after his Stealth team was beaten by just 97 pence in this week's bartering challenge - after they failed to locate and buy 3kg of nigella seeds used in Indian cooking.

Sir Alan told him: "Adam your luck has run out - you're fired".

Afterwards Adam said: "Katie is a complete snob. She was offended at my northernness and my working class back-ground.

"She didn't think I had any right to be there."

Adam and Katie also clashed over the latter's alleged fling with Paul Callaghan, who was fired last week.

Katie said before Adam's eviction: "I would like to be the one who secures Adam''s exit and secures his route back to the north, back to his northern chums, which is where he belongs."

The pair were ordered back to the boardroom after their team, led by Adam, lost out in this week's task. They were asked to bring back a list of 10 items for the least possible price.

Adam, a former Central University of Lancashire sports management graduate, has already launched a career as an internet cars sales guru, with his own website.

He has left his former car sales job and will ponder his future with girlfriend Ruth, 21, at their Ribble Valley home.

Once Adam had left Sir Alan said his "heart was in the right place" but he was poor organiser and leader.
