A MOBILE phone technology company has predicted results ahead of forecast despite the controversy surrounding TV phone votes.

2ergo, based in Rawtenstall, issued a cautious trading statement with its interim results in May after several high profile incidents.

Shows including GMTV and Richard and Judy, were shamed over issues such as letting viewers enter contests which they had no chance of winning.

However, bosses at the listed company said they expected trading for the year to August 31 to be ahead of market forecasts when 2ergo announced its results in November.

Chief executive Neale Graham said: "We anticipate announcing some significant contract wins over the coming weeks."
