Church full for former captain's funeral

St Thomas's Church, Garstang was full to capacity last Thursday for the funeral of former Preston Grasshoppers captain Andy Procter.
A huge turnout of rugby followers, from other clubs as well as Hoppers, plus Lancashire County Representatives swelled the large contingent of family and friends and meant that it was standing room only long before the service started.
Eulogies were given by former Hoppers' captain Graham 'Taff' Ethelston, Maurice Parker and Andy Junior.
A statement from Preston Grasshopers said: "The number in church reflected the esteem in which Andy was held and he will be sadly missed."
