New singers required

Preston Ladies Harmony Chorus, The Red Rosettes, is seeking new singers to join the 50 strong team.

The four-part harmony chorus recently achieved 13th place out of 32 entrants in a national competition held in Bournemouth.

Musical Director Katy Phillips said: "The was a considerable achievement as the last time the chorus entered this competition we were placed 27th.

"Our success is attributed to an extensive make over - a new image and an intense recruitment campaign, together with the commitment of the women".

The chorus meets every Wednesday at Leyland Methodist Junior School Canberra Road, Leyland, at 7.30pm.
