Greggs has opened a new bakery this weekend in Accrington, creating 10 new jobs for the area.

The shop, which is located at The Viaduct leisure and retail park in Hyndburn Road, is only the second to open in the town.

It will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, including the popular Sausage Roll, Steak Bake and their vegan alternatives.

Delicious freshly-made sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats will also be available for those looking to grab a bite on-the-go.

Customers will be able to take advantage of Greggs’ deals throughout the day, including its popular breakfast deals of a breakfast roll and orange juice or hot drink - served until 11am every day.

Customers will be able to make click-and-collect orders via the Greggs app.

The Accrington shop opens with a fresh new look and comfortable seating. The shop’s opening hours are:

  • Monday – Saturday: 7am - 6pm
  • Sunday: 9am to 4pm

Shop manager, Sandra Simpson, said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.

"We’ve got an amazing range of tasty bakes, hot drinks, sweet treats and savouries available for takeaway or click and collect.”

Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, added: “Our new shop in Accrington has brought 10 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food.”
