CCTV captures man following Preston nightclub attack

Police are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked assault on a 29-year-old man at Squires nightclub in Preston city centre.

The incident happened on April 8 at 2.13am.

The offender appeared upset after he was bumped by the victim.

Minutes later he approached the victim, who was stood at the bar of the Market Square venue with a female friend, and either bottled or punched the him in the face, causing a cut above the eye.

The offender then made off possibly in a black cab.

The victim went to the Royal Preston Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.

The offender was caught on CCTV. He is described as white, in his early twenties, of average build, about 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a suit.
