Police are stepping up patrols after three places of worship were burgled in Preston.
Cash and other items were taken from mosques and churches in the Sharoe Green and Avenham areas, as well as in the city centre.
Police say the offenders forced their way into the buildings and there will be an increased presence of officers in the areas.
A police spokesperson said: "We appreciate that incidents like this can cause a great deal of upset in the community and we want to reassure you that we are investigating these crimes and have stepped up patrols in and around these areas.
"If you have any information or would like to report any suspicious activity to us, you can do so online or by calling 101."
