A TV soap star will be heading to Preston next weekend for a North West volunteer celebration event.
Malcolm Hebden, who plays Norris Cole in the show, will be appearing at Heathcotes@Deepdale, at the Preston North End ground, Deepdale, next Sunday, for the first Leonard Cheshire Disabilities event.
About 100 volunteers who give their time to Leonard Cheshire Disability throughout the north west region are expected to attend the event, which kicks off at 11am.
At 1pm, on the day, actor Malcolm is due to arrive to join delegates for lunch before hosting a 'Name that Tune' quiz at 2pm.
The event comes as Leonard Cheshire Disabilities celebrates its 60th year and will be a celebration and thank you to the volunteers who have supported its work throughout the north west.
It is hoped the event will celebrate the contribution of volunteers and will give them the opportunity to meet other helpers from different services and to understand more about Leonard Cheshire Disabilities.
