Bamber Bridge gets £100,000 fitness boost

A new look fitness suite will open in Bamber Bridge next week following a £100,000 refurbishment and the introduction of some exciting new fitness equipment.

South Ribble Community Leisure Limited hope the modern centre at Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre will encourage more people to get fit and active.

It has come about through a partnership with Pulse Fitness and has seen more than £100,000 invested to create the state-of-the-art fitness facility.

It boasts new Pulse fitness equipment, air conditioning, a new quality durable floor, a fresh coat of paint and the latest audio-visual equipment.

Gym members will benefit from the latest Pulse Fitness cardio-vascular, resistance and freeweights equipment, plus, the brand new gym management software – Smart Centre.

Pulse’ Smart Centre system replaces the conventional personal work out plan paper system with a single card that integrates the user and instructor, allowing members to be motivated and tracked.

John Wood, Chair of South Ribble Community Leisure Ltd, said: “We are dedicated to improving leisure facilities in Bamber Bridge, enabling people to have a much improved leisure service and access to the latest fitness equipment.

"The new fitness suite will make a real difference to the local community."

From Monday, residents and members are welcome to tour the new fitness suite, meet staff and trial the equipment.

Membership to the new facility is £36 per month or members can join on a pay as you go basis.
