A kind-hearted nurse is organising a ball to help raise money for the new paediatric Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department at the Royal Preston Hospital, part of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The ball is the first of a number of events organised by Anna McNeela, a Sister in the A&E Department at Royal Preston Hospital.

Anna has set herself a target of raising £10,000 for the new paediatric A&E Department, which will see a dedicated children’s waiting and treatment area created.

The ball will start at 7pm on Friday 3 October at Garstang Golf Club.

Tickets are priced at £30 and this includes drinks on arrival, a photographer, hot buffet, disco, raffle and auction.

Anna said: “The evening promises to be a whole heap of fun.

"There’s lots going on and some great prizes on offer in the raffle and auction.

“More importantly, all the proceeds from the night will go towards the new paediatric A&E Department so we are encouraging as many people to attend as we can."

If you are interested in attending you can purchase tickets by phoning Anna on 07793 775777.
