Local people are being invited to give their views as part of a consultation on proposals to redevelop Coupe Foundry in Higher Walton.

Harrow Estates purchased the site in September 2006 and is now preparing an outline planning application for redevelopment.

The proposals will go on display next week at public exhibitions in the village.

The consultation has been organised for local residents to find out more about the proposals and give their feedback.

Comments and suggestions received during the consultation will help shape the final plans, prior to the submission of a planning application to South Ribble Borough Council later on this year.

The exhibition is taking place over two days on Friday (September 12) and Saturday (13) at Higher Walton Community Centre in Higher Walton Road.

The exhibition will be open between 12.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday and from 10am until 4pm on Saturday.

Harrow Estates and members of the development team will be on hand to explain the proposals and answer any questions.

Jennie Daly, planning director of Harrow Estates said: “We are looking forward to meeting local people to show them the plans for the site. We’re keen to get as much feedback as possible and would urge people to come along to one of the events and have their say.”

A dedicated hotline - 0845 602 5026 - has been set up for people to ask questions about the proposals, or find out more about the consultation.

After the exhibitions the consultation documents will also be available to view on the Harrow Estates website at www.harrowestates.co.uk
