Penwortham-based Galloway’s Society for the Blind has organised a special Sight Saving day for people living with sight loss.
It is in partnership with many of the country’s leading suppliers of equipment and a solicitor will be on hand to give free legal advice and tell people about a free will making scheme.
An independent financial advisor and a grants officer will be on-hand along with Gill Smith the Hospital Low Vision Specialist.
Numerous local agencies will be available to help on the day.
Kevin Lonergan, Sight Advice Centre Manager at Galloway's, said “Many of our members are concerned about their finances and so we’ve arranged for specialist advisors to be on hand to provide free, independent and impartial advice.
“We hope many people will come along on the day to find out about the many organisations and services that can help them.”
The event will take place at the Preston Minster Church Street, Preston, on Thursday, November 13, between 10am and 3.30pm.
