LOCAL people enjoyed a fun day out and raised £5,200 for the care of neglected and abandoned pets.
Pets in Need held their annual garden fair at Reynards Bank, Turton Road, Tottington and organisers put on a barbecue, a variety of stalls and a dog show which proved popular with visitors.
Judges for the show were David Nuttall, the prospective Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Bury North and Tottington councillor Iain Gartside.
They awarded the cup to Josh, shown by Hannah Southworth from Greenmount.
