LEIGH Harriers have given youngsters a taste of the world of athletics.
They have hosted two successful star track sessions at Charles Street during the school holidays and a third is on the cards for next Thursday, August 19, between 1 and 4 pm.
Fifty boys and girls, aged between eight and 15, attended the first sessions when they learned the art of track and field.
Leigh's top international cross country star Peter Riley will be at Madeley Park to present goody bags to the young participants on Thursday.
Places are still available for the third session which costs £5. Anyone keen on learning the sport should turn up on the day, or ring Joe Galvin on 01942 673758 for further details.
