A COFFEE morning is held at Cleveleys Park Methodist Church, West Drive, every Wednesday morning throughout the year (except Christmas week), 10.30am-noon. Everyone welcome.
BISPHAM
TOWER organist David Windle will hit the right note with an organ concert tomorrow (Friday, August 6) at Bispham Methodist Church, Beaufort Avenue, starting at 7.30pm. Admission £3.50.
BLACKPOOL
A COFFEE morning takes place at Kilmory Day Centre, off Briarwood Drive, Bispham, on August 11, 10am-noon. Admission free, with a small charge for coffee. There will also be stalls including bric-a-brac and books at the event, run by Kilmory's Over 60s Club.
LIVE Poets Unlimited meet at Central Library, Queen Street, this Monday (August 9) at 1pm, for a friendly, informal discussion and read-a-round. All poets welcome, all standards.
THE U3A (University of the Third Age) next social meeting is on Wednesday, August 11 at 1.30pm. It will be held at CVS, Abingdon Street. Details will be given out at the meeting for visits in August and September to theatres, restaurants and day coach trips. New members welcome.
FAIRHAVEN
A 'MUSIC for a Summer Evening' event takes place at the White Church, Fairhaven, on August 28 at 7.30pm, presented by the Lytham Promenade Orchestra. Tickets, priced at £5, are available from Lytham and St Annes tourist information or by calling 01253 738293.
CLAREMONT
CLAREMONT children's day takes place on Claremont Park next Monday, August 9, featuring a host of attractions, including an army aerial slide and assault course, donkey rides and a variety of other attractions. The fun day runs from noon to 4pm and will raise money for Alder Hey children's hospital.
LAYTON
GET a glimpse of allotment life this Sunday (August 8) as Layton Permanent Allotments Association holds an open day at its Beckway Avenue site. Fresh allotment produce will be on sale at bargain prices and there will be various stalls selling goods for charity. Plot holders will be there to show visitors around. Weather permitting, the event runs 11am-3pm.
POULTON

SOUTH SHORE
BACKCARE'S next monthly meeting will feature Hands on Healing (with free treatments) and How To See Auras by Brother Roy of the World Healing Crusade. The meeting takes place on Wednesday, August 11 in the day centre, South Shore Hospital, at 7.30pm. Non members £1.
