I AM pleased that incoming visitors to Blackpool will have much better first impressions of the town after the roadworks have been completed.
But what impressions are they going to have when they visit the promenade? They will think 'Yes, Blackpool Council has moved with the times by improving the entrance roads, but what is going on here?'
They will see horses pulling landaus weaving in and out of heavy traffic and say 'into the 21st century on one hand but back to the dark ages on the other hand.'
Come on council, pull out the horses and landaus from the promenade and put them in more appropriate surroundings - such as Stanley Park. That would be ideal.
