A WHITEFIELD musician who shot to fame for a piece of music he composed 30 years ago is enjoying renewed success thousands of miles away.
John Anthony hit the headlines after his tune Time For Romance was used in the box office smash The Full Monty and then in the Disney/Pixar animated film Monsters Inc.
During a recent holiday in Australia, the guitarist, now 62, managed to secure a contract to re-release some of his CDs which had gone out of circulation.
Now back home in Whitefield, Mr Anthony is helping out the Bury and Bolton Branch of the RSPCA by performing in a charity concert tonight (July 2) at 7.45pm at Dobbies Sports and Social Club, Bradley Fold Road.
