A RAMSBOTTO,ased company which is one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions has invested £650,000 in new headquarters.

And although the base is located at Glasshoughton, near Leeds, the good news is that Strategic Team Group is retaining its existing HQ at the Cuba Industrial Estate in Bolton Road North.

STG's decision to look north for new premises comes amid continued success and sustained growth. It will enable the firm to further expand its growing workforce and develop the business into new markets.

The new, 13,600 sq ft premises based at Glasshoughton, Castleford, will be used as a working base and training centre for members of STG's workforce of more than 60 employees. The new offices will also act as a focal point for visiting clients.

Refurbishment will be carried out by STG's own specialists and will be focused on developing brand profile and raising local awareness of the company's range of services -- including new build; refurbishment, maintenance, management and legislation compliance work.

In year ending March, 2004, STG reported a turnover of £8.3 million and experienced 48 per cent growth year-on-year between 2002 and 2003.

This year, the company is expected to report further growth and to announce plans to develop the breadth of services it offers by launching divisions which specialise in electrics and mechanical services.

Andrew Watson, co-founder and managing director of Strategic Team Group, said: "The new headquarters marks an important step for STG. Not only does it demonstrate our success to date, but it will also enable us to grow sufficiently to continue that success.

"At STG we place a great deal of emphasis on our employees, so we are delighted to be able to offer a very modern working environment."

To enable the delivery of complete property solutions, the directors have developed a strategy of creating associated specialist companies with expertise in their own areas.

The other companies include Strategic Team Scotland Ltd; Strategic Property Management Ltd; Strategic Safety Services Ltd and Strategic Shutters and Doors Ltd.

Since its inception in 2000, the company has developed a culture and a reputation for delivering service excellence and a sound customer base.

The strategic companies now have a turnover of about £10 million, employing in excess of 80 staff and boasting a strong financial position.
