MOTORISTS are warned that a busy road in Darwen will be closed for a week.
Chapel Street, which runs into Equity Street near the town centre, will shut for resurfacing from Monday June 26.Diversions will be in place.
Southbound traffic will be sent via Almond Street, Inverness Road, Belgrave road, Bolton Road and Radford Street.Northbound traffic will be diverted to Radford Street, Bolton Road, Belgrave Road and on to further up Equity Street where no works are taking place. The Chapel Street section of will be closed for its entire length.
Equity Street will be shut from its junction with Chapel Street to Almond Street.
In addition, Equity Street, which is normally one way, will be open to two-way traffic during the work.
