Pack a picnic and a folding chair and head down to Leyland on July 12 or 13 where a professional theatre production is bringing Shakespeare to life in the great outdoors.
Shakespearean touring company, Dean Taylor Productions, returns to the town's Worden Park to perform A Comedy of Errors.
The Worden Hall area and its picturesque grounds will be the back-drop for this bawdy and very funny outdoor production which includes a 16-strong cast, all dressed in Royal Shakespeare Company Renaissance costume.
Composer/conductor Chris Gill and his partner Serenna Wagner have composed new music for the production to be performed before and during performances.
Serenna, A Master of Music from the Royal College of Music, will sing soprano.
Preston born producer/director Dean Taylor. "This production is for everyone, particularly those whose interest in Shakespeare was killed by tedious lessons in a dull classroom.
"Shakespeare is a writer for all."
A Comedy of Errors is at Worden Park in Leyland on July 12-13 from 7pm. Call 01772 466256 for details and bookings.
