A ROSSENDALE-based public relations agency has launched a specialist sports division.
Viva PR, which also has an office in Manchester, has created Viva Sport on the back of work with Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa.
The agency also recently worked with Blackburn-born superbike legend Carl Fogarty and motorcyclist James Whitham.
The new firm is run by former Lancashire Telegraph sports reporters Tony Garner and Andy Neild.
Mr Garner said: “The sports industry is a huge market and, given our contacts, we believe we are well-placed to make a major impact.
“Between us, Andy and I have more than 25 years’ experience in sports journalism so it made perfect business sense to set up Viva Sport.
"We already do some work for Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa and recently got involved in the superbike scene too.
“We want Viva to become known as one of the leading players in the sports PR market in the North West.”
