SIX men have been arrested in connection with an incident in which a 20-year-old man was slashed across the face.
Police said five men, aged 19, 20, 21, 24 and 25, all from Brierfield, as well as a 22-year-old, from Nelson, have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and criminal damage to a vehicle.
The 21-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin with intent to supply, officers said.
It comes after two men, aged 20 and 27, were attacked in Abinger Street, Burnley, at around 10pm on Saturday.
Both men suffered head injuries and were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The 20-year-old was also slashed across the face with a knife.
It is believed they were attacked by a group of men who left the scene in a green Ford Fiesta and a black Toyota Avensis.
