A VALLEY-based business is beating the economic blues by creating 30 new jobs.

Atrium Legal is doubling the size of its workforce at its headquarters in the New Hall Hey Business Centre at Rawtenstall as demand continues to increase.

The claims management company was set up in November 2008, and specialises in helping people who have had their health damaged by their working environment.

Company boss Matthew Horne already employs 32 people but in a bid to take his business to the next level he is investing money in doubling his workforce.

He said: “There is increasing demand for our services and to keep pace with that demand we need to take on new people.

“We are looking to take on 30 new members of staff. The jobs will mainly involve claims advice and tele-sales as we look after anyone who has suffered an injury or health damage as a result of their work.”

The firm moved to the Hurstwood owned business park back in July in its first stage of growth.

Mark Carling, sales director at Hurstwood, said: “We are working hard to attract business to Rossendale and the success of Atrium Legal is great news for the region. We are delighted they have made New Hall Hey Business Centre their headquarters and hope they can continue to flourish there.”
