A MAN who kicked and punched a teenager in the head in a pub beer garden has been jailed for four years.
Scott Dagg, 28, of Yates Fold, Blackburn, jumped on his 19-year-old victim at Bar Ibiza, around 4.15pm on September 10.
He had approached the lad, who was on his own, and demanded his wallet and £100 LG mobile phone.
But the victim, also from Blackburn, clung to his wallet and Dagg knocked him to the floor and continued beating him.
He only stopped when onlookers said ‘That’s enough, Scott’.
He took the phone but not the wallet. The teenager was left with a swollen face, cuts, bruises and bloodied clothes.
Paramedics called police who arrested Dagg at his home the next day.
Dagg was jailed for four years on Thursday at Burnley Crown Court.
PC Dave Hall said the incident was an ‘opportunistic stranger robbery’ with a ‘high level of violence’.
He added: “I’m delighted with the sentence and so is the victim.”
