THE driver of a car which crashed leaving two of his friends dead and another critically ill has today been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
Zahid Ali, 18, of Accrington, has been remanded to appear at Burnley Magistrates Court this morning.
He sustained minor injuries in the crash in Marsden Road, Burnley, on Thursday.
Passengers Kasier Hussain, 16, and Sajad Khan, 19, of Richmond Road, died after the BMW went out of control and became airborne, crashing into a wall and parked car.
Wasif Ali, 20, has been released from hospital.
He was initially described as critical but is now recovering from a fractured right collar bone, broken rib and severe bruising at home.
All involved were childhood friends from Accrington.
