SCOUTS from Accrington took part in the charity fun run held at Mercer Park raising money for Comic Relief.

Members from St Pauls Barnfield, took part in fun run at Mercer Park on Sunday, joining together to ‘do something funny for money’.

Scout Leader, John Allen said: "The scouts had various ideas how they were going to take part in the event and they decided to complete the red nose fun run as ‘walking backwards tied together’.

"As we have not done anything like this before we was not sure how it would go, but the scouts showed real commitment and worked extremely well as team."

They managed to reach the finishing line in 29 minutes 56 seconds.

And at the end were congratulated by the Mayor of Hyndburn Malcom Pritchard.
