QUEUES: Traffic as seen through the rain from a Highways Agency camera
A four-car accident near the junction of the M61 and M65 at Clayton Brook is causing Traffic tailbacks this morning.
Lanes two and three of the northbound M61 have been closed to allow recovery vehicles to remove the debris.
Traffic is backed up to junction 8 A6/A674 at Chorley.
The speed limit has been set to 40mph.
It is not thought anyone has been seriously injured, police said.
