TRADERS wanting a spot at Nelson’s Lancashire Day and Christmas light switch are being asked to get in touch now.

The popular Lancashire Food Market will on hand selling local produce such as cheese, black pudding and chocolate. But some free stalls are still available for the November 26 event.

The day will be declared open by Mayor of Pendle, Coun Nadeem Ahmed at 11am and will continue until 3pm.

Performances have also been lined up including music from Nelson Brass Band, Borderline Theatre Company and the Britannia Coconut Dancers from Bacup.

Nelson’s town crier Coun Tony Beckett will also be on hand and a free town centre ice rink will give visitors the chance to get in the mood for the Christmas lights switch-on at 6pm.
