BURNLEY FC and the Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust have teamed up to tackle suicide in men with the relaunch of the It’s a Goal! programme.
It’s a Goal! is a nationwide initiative that uses football to communicate with men aged 16 to 35 to encourage them to deal with life’s difficulties rather than resort to suicide.
Paul Fletcher, Burnley FC’s chief executive, said: “Football Clubs play a significant part in the life of a community but when they can be used to help individuals, that is when they make a real difference.”
