TV LICENSING staff at Capita in Darwen will be striking over pay today.
Some staff walked out at 4pm yesterday, the third day of action since strikes began in September.
The Communication Workers Union says Capita’s offer of a pay increase of 2.6 per cent is not good enough.
It is the third time staff have gone on strike over pay this year.
Workers at Capita, based at India Mill, will walk out unless company chiefs engage in ‘meaningful negotiations’ over pay, warned the Communication Workers Union.
Andy Furey, CWU assistant secretary, said: “We will remain resolute in the face of Capita’s stubbornness.
"Capita staff are low paid, many earning just above minimum wage, and they deserve a decent pay rise from a successful company that makes £1million-a-day in profits.”
Capita has previously said it was disappointed staff had chosen to strike.
A spokesman said: “We will take measures to ensure that we continue to offer a good level of service during any such action so that customers are not affected.”
