A PENSIONER is delighted the rubbish that has built up outsider her front door is finally going to be removed.
Edna Kenyon, 77, from Carlinghurst Road in Blackburn, was devastated when she saw the amount of rubbish that had built up while she was housebound for two months.
It was so bad that when she saw it, she broke down in tears.
Nobody accepted responsibility for the mess, but after the Lancashire Telegraph got involved, landowners Twin Valley Homes offered to clear it away free of charge.
“I’m very happy,” said Edna. “I’m very pleased with that.
“I know what does and doesn’t go in the bins, so it was nothing to do with me.”
The rubbish will now be cleared away as soon as possible.
