Twin brothers and their two friends are on the road to fame and fortune after signing a contract with a top UK record label.

Indy rock band, Medicine, are hoping to hit the big time after clinching the 15-month deal with national independent record label, It's Time Records.

Brothers Ben and Liam Rigney, 21, from Poulton-le-Fylde met fellow band member Adam Stewart, 19, from Blackpool, at Hodgson High School and the lads started jamming together.

At Blackpool and the Fylde College the trio met Dom Brown, also 19 and from Blackpool, and the band was complete.

Three years on Medicine have built up a reputation locally with Adam on vocals and lead guitar, Ben on rhythm guitar, Liam on bass and Dom on drums.

"We work really well together, we share the same musical influences and are all on the same page," said Adam.

They sent a demo to several record labels in the hope of getting into the music industry.

But it fell on deaf ears until it caught the attention of It's Time Records which specialise in helping musicians navigate the music industry maze.

Head of label, Nick Elliott, said: "The label gets dozens of submissions each year, some good, some very good but rarely do we receive a demo that excites us.

"With Medicine we did and with the band's overall potential we thought we had received something special that deserved more attention."

Lead vocalist Adam said: "We were all over the moon when we were offered the contract.

"We really respect what the label are doing and believe that they can help us to further our music in the coming future.

"Eventually we aim to release an album and do a sell-out tour to people who want to listen to our music. "
