A MAN at the centre of an incident which closed a road in Clitheroe has appeared in court.
Blackburn magistrates heard Rizwan Ali Shah claimed to be carrying a machete minutes after a brick had been thrown through a restaurant window.
Shah, 27, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to damaging a window valued at £555 belonging to the Dil Raj restaurant.
He was fined £100 with £15 costs which was set against time he had spent in custody. He was remanded in custody until he appears before Preston Magistrates on an indecency charge.
