IN an interview recently on television with our Prime Minister and BBC correspondent Nick Robinson, Robinson asked why the spending of millions on overseas aid could be validated when Britain had very severe financial problems itself.

Our PM replied that aid had been promised many years ago and that he was of the opinion that when you make a promise you should keep it.

Absolutely exemplary, David, and I agree with you entirely.

So why not honour the promise that you made to the nation before the election and have a referendum on the EU?

I am sure, David, that you will agree that it is the only honourable thing to do!
