RE the story (LT, November 10) headed ‘No-go zone’, as one of the three councillors who sat on this committee and voted to remove the licence of this establishment, I am also concerned how long that it took to bring this case before the licensing committee.
Whether it be the fault of the police or licensing is something that must be looked at.
But to me, the biggest fault must be firmly placed at the feet of the elected members in this ward.
These problems have been going on for some nine months.
Surely these problems must have been brought to the councillors’ attention and they in turn should have pressed both police and licensing to take action.
